The one with the CRUISE that never was.

So these first few pictures pretty much sum up the first day of our "cruise" we were supposed to be on. Jared, my brother-in-law on the phone ALL day long trying to get us on our ship that we missed due to the lovely people at United Airlines.
We missed the whole cruise due to "The Jones Law". Which meant since the airlines made us miss our flight and we could not catch another one in time to get on the cruise ship and the ship left out of Canada we could not get on at another port. Stupid canadians! :)
So, we spent the whole day flying, crying, arguing, on the phone,sitting in airport and/or fighting to get on our trip...yes, we did have security called on us in Denver.....we made it BACK to Utah the same day we left Utah. It was a fabulous time.
After a year of planning, getting time of for, finding babysitters, WEENING MY BABY WAY EARLIER THEN I EVER WOULD HAVE (this one probably irks me the most) and dealing with the fact that i have to leave my kids for 10 days in the care of others who in turn have to drive them to all their activities, not to mention i had a wonderful girl come all the way from missouri babysit for me AND the packing for a 10 day trip.......we did not get to go.
Seriously??? I still cant get over that...whenever i say the words it still kills me. Did that really happen to us? And on top of 3 couples...tiff and jared, eric and chelsea and shawn and i not making it on....the other half of our family made it on the ship. So, in a way it ruined their trip for the first few days...dealing with the fact that they had to try to enjoy the trip while we couldnt. It was hard on them too. Although i am sure eating all the delicious food, all the beautiful scenery helped a little. :):)

Anyways, Tiff and Jared talked us into going on a little trip to help ease the hurt of the "non-cruise".
So, off to Seattle it was! We stayed in a hotel that night we came back to Utah and flew out the next morning. It was fun...just not the cruise we thought we would be enjoying.


So, we went to Farmers Market.
And were lucky enough to see WICKED again.....as you can tell this was the highlight of the trip for shawn. (enter major sarcasm).


He did get to go to the Headquarters of Geo-caching. pretty cool!

We took a day trip over to Victoria, British Columbia. It was gorgeous!
It turns out we did get to go on a ship.....just a much smaller one. :)


We had the best crepes in the entire world...seriously....so good!! A fruit one and also one with ham and pineapple in it. trust me it was faulouso!!!


saw "plasterman"....he wanted a hug after i put money in his little cup. he totally freaked me out....and no i did not hug him.
